Extensions by Cerebrum

Extensions are a cornerstone in the internal architecture of TYPO3. They allow the expansion of the core functionality of the CMS with an innumerable number of new features. Due to the open source concept, developers can build new extensions in order to meet individual requirements for a specific project. Optionally they can share their solution with the community and contribute the new extension to the public. Today there are more than 5200 extensions available in the official TYPO3 Extension Repository (TER) - for free!

When our clients choose TYPO3 as their content management system the door is wide open to extend the TYPO3 core as required. Either by using extensions from the repository developed by others, or by Cerebrum to suit their specific needs.

If we develop new functionality for our clients in order to meet a specific requirement, we are happy to publish the code and support other developers. Additionally, by improving an existing extension (e.g. adding a new feature) we often contact the original developer and suggest they merge our changes into the next version.

The extensions listed below were developed by Cerebrum and are still maintained. They are available for free download in the TYPO3 Extension Repository under the GPL (GNU General Public License).

TwinHelix FreeStyle Menus (cerebrum_fsmenu)

TwinHelix FreeStyle Menus is an XHTML compliant, CSS-formatted menu script, designed to work with the current generation of standards-based websites. The script manages the showing and hiding of menu elements with customisable timer delays and impressive visual transition effects.

Cerebrum's "fsmenu extension" for TYPO3 is tested and works perfectly in all modern browsers (e.g. Internet Explorer v6, v7 and v8, Firefox v3.5 (Windows/Linux), Chromium (Linux), Safari, Opera, Konqueror).

The TYPO3 extension is installed on this web site (see horizontal navigation menu on top) and runs with simple configuration "out-of-the-box". The extension allows developers/designers to style and change the look and feel of all the properties of the menu (colour, width, style, etc.) in TypoScript.

SugarCRM Integration (eu_sugarcrm)

TYPO3 is the embodiment of a sophisticated business-class Content Management System. On the other hand, SugarCRM offers functional aspects of a modern Client Relationship Management system and helps you managing your contacts, sales and marketing campaigns, emails campaigns, tasks, calls, meetings and more.

With the TYPO3 extension "SugarCRM Integration", Cerebrum has paired both systems (TYPO3 and SugarCRM) and enables TYPO3 to access the web services of SugarCRM v5.x to create or update records based on data from a TYPO3 website. The extension provides functions for retrieving/creating/editing SugarCRM records and therefore enables interaction between both systems in a neat and clean way.
