Kieser Australia

Established in Melbourne in 2006, Kieser Australia is a network of integrated physiotherapy, rehabilitation and strength training centres predicated on concept and the core principle of 'Strength for Health'. The very first Kieser centre was opened in Switzerland by founder Werner Kieser back in 1966. It was one of the first companies to recognise the health benefits of strength training and consistently encouraged the use of machinery to this end. Their unique range of strength training equipment is most importantly exclusive to Kieser. 50-plus years on it continues to remain faithful to its concept and is still ahead of the curve.

Kieser Australia reached out to Cerebrum for support migrating their Swiss based TYPO3 website to a new TYPO3 instance hosted in Australia. They specifically want to improve overall performance and speed of the site and have the ability to modify the site to their particular Australian market needs. Optimised hosting was essential to reach peak performance. This also included a range of functional changes and updates to a variety of elements such as search functions, booking systems, and unified location management.

Our first task was to take over hosting from the European vendors and into Australia - build, deploy and manage a new TYPO3 instance. Working closely with Keiser's stakeholders we also redeveloped  Kieser's online booking system within the website, optimised the News and Blog listings and filtering, and improved the search function for locations to properly search by postcode or expand search radius. Crucial to this project was enabling their marketing team to be able to make changes they hadn't been able to do before, improving overall efficiency and providing some necessary self-management.

Since the site has been up and running in Australia, we are pleased the performance of the site has increased greatly. We continue to support the Kieser team, consulting and modifying as required.
